A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Ormesby Manor
Ormesby Manor Wedding
I was privileged to be part of the very first wedding at the stunning Ormesby Manor. C&G and their family took over the whole estate for the weekend. Ormesby Manor is a luxurious Manor House in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. With perfectly appointed bedrooms and luxurious Shepherd Huts, this is the perfect location for a weekend-long celebration if you have guests travelling from far and wide.
A Weekend Wedding Celebration
With a really fun, authentic Texan BBQ on the Friday evening, guests came dressed as cowboys and ranchers. It was a great way for all their guests to meet each other and for them to kick off their celebration. On Saturday morning G and his groomsmen got in their uniform finery in one end of the venue, while C got ready with her best girls in the Manor with the capable assistance of the lovely Laura Howard Hair and Make up. I love that C picked her bridesmaids’ dresses to coordinate with the groomsmen's green berets.
Church Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place at the local church that C&G had been regularly attending in the preceding months. Guests were transported to and from the church in an old Routemaster, perfectly painted in green and cream shades to tie in with the wedding colours.
The Wedding Reception at Ormesby Manor
On return to the Manor after the church service, guests were greeted by beautiful music from a string quartet, fizz, Aperol Spritz and Pimms and a selection of delicious canapés from North Norfolk Catering. The wedding breakfast was held in a traditional pole marquee with some gorgeous flower displays from Millie Rose.
The wedding cake was a tower of cheeses from the fabulous Marta at Lemon Tree Fine Foods. Guests were treated to BBQ wraps in the evening from North Norfolk Catering, while a fireworks display from Flash FX entertained guests when darkness fell.
The dancefloor was fuelled by the lovely Kirsty from Off Tha Hook2 – what was so special about Kirsty was her enthusiasm for vinyls. All her music was played off a traditional mixing desk with vinyls whizzing round – love it! The in-house bar from Ormesby Manor gave the couple a choice of two signature cocktails for their guests to enjoy. C&G picked a Dark & Stormy and a crowd pleaser, Margherita.
My couple managed some gorgeous sunset shots by the lake and in the grounds of the Manor; their large but lovable Newfoundland puppy, Momo, also managed to feature – he was beautiful.
Just at the back of the Manor was a cornfield – perfect for some evening shots without having to journey too far.
