More focus is placed on the day itself and not on the mountain of work that precedes it, resulting in a relaxed and happy wedding party. With fewer people in attendance, you’ll have more opportunity to soak up the magic and make lifelong memories with your nearest and dearest.

Set in a corner of Norfolk, the stunning venue for this wedding shoot was a glorious Vineyard. Standing in Flint Vineyard, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the wine region of France. With such a unique backdrop the shoot had to be designed around the ethos of this vineyard, pulling together the elements of the location into the details for the shoot.

I thought it was about time I shared this stunning shoot I styled last summer at the fabulous Thurning Hall. Using Thurning Hall as the inspiration, I created a shoot that showcased the best this venue has to offer. As a stunning period property, Thurning Hall has bags of character, so we needed to create a design that allowed the venue to shine. Laid-back luxury set against an elegant, romantic setting became the core focus for our shoot. The shoot was packed with romance, seasonal flowers, drama and classic elegance. This is the very original mood board I created for the shoot to share with the suppliers the vision and ‘feel’ for the shoot.

Wow! What an amazing wedding! Looking back on my first tipi wedding back in 2016 at a lovely rural location in Norfolk, College Farm. The day was just wonderful, with stunning weather, some amazing food and entertainment. The location was excellent; the lovely owner was more than hospitable and was a great help to me on the day, too. The farm has horses, rare-breed sheep, alpacas and llamas, which made for some quirky photographs as the sun began to set.

At the tail end of last year, I began working with a lovely couple from London who had their hearts set on hosting their wedding day at Voewood. Voewood is a stunning dry hire venue in Norfolk. With bags of personality and accommodation for 40-something guests, it is perfect for creating a weekend-long wedding celebration. Being a dry hire venue (and a listed property at that), every single element of the wedding needs considering and planning perfectly. Luckily, I have planned many weddings at Voewood, so I know how this venue works and what its little foibles are. It is so unique, and every wedding there is different; it is always a joy to work there.

Earlier in May, I was privileged enough to be asked to organise a Vow Renewal and 60th Birthday Party for two clients. Having been married in an intimate wedding ceremony abroad some 13 years previously, they decided they would use this opportunity to bring all their friends together, celebrate a 60th birthday and reaffirm their vows. Using their beautiful country farm as the venue for their celebration, I set to work arranging everything they would need. The brief was quite simple; it had to have amazing food and be very classic.
